The operations manager role is mainly to implement the right processes and practices across the business.
The specific duties of the operations manager include formulating efficient production strategy, improving performance, procuring material and resources and securing compliance.
You should be ready to coach your team members, find ways to increase quality of production and implement best practices across all levels.
Ultimately, you'll be in a key leadership role to help us remain productive, efficient and profitable during the course of business.
Responsibilities Ensure all manufacturing operations are carried on in an appropriate, safe & cost-effective way Improve operational management systems, processes and best practices to improve efficiency and productivity Purchase materials, plan inventory and oversee production, warehouse and delivery efficiency Formulate strategic and operational objectives Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability Manage budgets and forecasts Perform quality controls and monitor production KPIs Recruit, train and supervise staff Find better ways to increase quality of production, reducing waste and breakage Requirements Proven work experience as operations manager or similar role (ideally in a manufacturing environment) Lean manufacturing experience and knowledge preferred Experience with budgeting and forecasting Familiarity with business and financial principles Excellent communication skills Leadership ability Outstanding organizational and management skills Degree in Business, Operations Management or related field optional Travel up to 50% of the time Job Type:
